Dan is a creative leader who has led teams both in-house and on the agency side. He has built and re-shaped creative teams to concept and execute revenue-driving, creative solutions and build effective campaigns in partnership. His work has been recognized by Effies, ADC, One Show, Shorty, Native Advertising and World Media Awards.
Currently Dan oversees the global branded content arm of TIME, Red Border by TIME. Under his leadership, the 2 year old branded content team has gained global recognition by many industry award shows and grown in revenue by 5x. Red Border by TIME ideates and develops creative solutions to communicate to a variety of different agencies, brands and businesses. Alongside the branded content studio, he oversees social, brand strategy, creative and sales insights for the TIME brand to help develop and execute some of our largest events like TIME100, Person of the Year and Women of the Year.
Prior to that, Dan founded Walmart Connect Brand and Creative team. He served as the Head of Creative for Walmart Connect establishing the in-house advertising arm for the nations largest omnichannel retailer. Dan led a team of 65+ creatives, producers and strategists to elevate the ads platform and develop brand experiences at Walmart. Under his leadership, Dan developed the ways of working and overall studio strategy with global support growing ad business revenue to over $2 billion. In that time, Dan helped establish numerous partnerships with Hershey's, P&G and GSK that won honors at the Effies. Prior to Walmart, Dan served as one of the first global creative strategists at Pinterest working across all verticals, as well as a Creative Director and Art Director at various agencies like Olson Engage, Accenture Interactive, Ogilvy and Bader Rutter. While in Chicago Dan also served as an adjunct professor at DePaul developing the first curriculum for copy and art direction students in advertising.
